Are you considering a winter trip to an indoor waterpark resort in Wisconsin Dells this year? Consider buying sooner rather than later, as some places in Wisconsin Dells have great Black Friday Deals. Certain resorts, like Kalahari, only have deals occasionally, so it pays to look at that website this time of year to see if you can find some savings. If you need help deciding which resort to look at, here is my comparison guide. For other activities to check out in the Dells, here is my guide of overall recommendations. If you need help with a packing list, here is what I like to bring.
Kalahari
This is one of the more expensive resorts with fewer sales and deals throughout the year. My review is here. Kalahari has not posted its Black Friday deals yet, though they have some fall discounts. Their Black Friday Deals last year (2024) were 30% off the best available hotel rates. These are for stays through 10/31/2025 and offer flexible payment options so you can buy now and pay later.
Wilderness
Wilderness Resort runs frequent specials. Here is their page describing current deals. They always have at least some deals running that you can find on that page. They don’t have a specific Black Friday deal listed, but November is the only time they sell a special gift card sale. That ends Cyber Monday. If you buy at least $100 in gift cards, you get a $10 bonus card. The gift cards are valid for 60 months (5 years), but the bonus cards are valid for only 24 months (2 years). Unfortunately, you won’t be able to use the cards online, so consider your purchases carefully. I reserved our room online with a special offer and bought enough gift cards to pay for the combo passes and other activities once we got to the resort. It felt a bit cumbersome, but it did save us money. Here is my review of Wilderness Resort overall, or the waterparks specifically.
Great Wolf Lodge
The Great Wolf is also very popular, especially for kids in the 10 and under range. Last year they had a Black Friday deal of up to 50% off. Here is their page for ongoing specials and discounts. They offer deals throughout the year, especially for weekday stays, but 50% is more than they usually offer. For more details on the resort, please read my review.
Chula Vista
Chula Vista has not yet released its Black Friday sales. Last year they inlcuded 30-40% off room stays. They also offered buy three, get one free for waterpark day passes or their summer zipline experience. Chula Vista always runs deals, so it pays to check their specials and deals page frequently.
One memorable deal I bought here was a buy-one-get-one. In the sleep-deprived stupor of early motherhood, I thought that meant I paid for one night and the next night was free. What it really meant was I paid for two rooms for the first night and got a second night in each room for free! We had plenty of space that weekend.
Mount Olympus
As the most affordable indoor waterpark resort in the Dells, Mount Olympus always has crazy deals running. They don’t have their Black Friday sales running yet, but last year they offered 70% off room rates and a $100 resort credit! They were also offering $5 day passes for their waterpark! If you want to ride Medusa but are still deciding whether to stay at this hotel, this is your chance! This day pass includes their Night of Lights, which is usually $45, so it’s a pretty sweet deal.
They have some deals on skiing and tubing at Christmas Mountain (keep in mind we had a very mild winter last year, and opening dates for this year’s winter activities are unclear). Please make sure you know the extra offers when you book because they change frequently, and you want to know what is included in your specific booking.
Mount Olympus is the cheapest place in the Dells, and the quality doesn’t compare to the other resorts. If this is all you are willing or able to pay for, it can still be fun. Here is my honest review. I highly recommend staying at Hotel Rome if you stay at Mount Olympus. If the room says 2-5 minutes away, they may place you in an adjacent motel owned by Mount Olympus, which are generally less well-kept. They are more affordable rooms, though. Try to go during the week, as this place is packed on the weekends and smaller than the other resorts.
